What colour would you choose for my curtain?
My walls're light purple. I thought about very light orange 'cause the valance of my bed is orange too, but do you think another tone of purple would be better?
All I suggest is that if this is a window which faces East or South, stay away from dark colors.
A few years ago my mother installed a deep hunter green window covering on a window which lets in a lot of sun. Her drapes got all sun-streaked (in odd spots, of course) and they ended up looking like crap soon thereafter!
Coordinate with other colors in your room. If you do decide to pick a contrasting color, keep in mind that will draw the eye to the window. If you would rather not have the window be the focal point, then stick to a hue that will blend in more with the wall color.
